The entrance is opposite the new plaza that links the civic center in golden triangle. A neighborhood of villas, before scorned, which is currently being converted into a fashionable neighborhood. From the inside, visitors can see the mountains and the city of Denver.

The first non-independent museum which was formed in the course of the Nasseraddin, the ruler of Iran. He returned from his European travels to establish the Museum in one of the rooms of the Golestan Palace in northern side of tehran.

construction began on April 9, 2003 with the celebration of the laying of the first stone, and were completed in 2006 .
The museum has no true vertical walls . except for the central elevator core. Its ceiling and risers slopee at all angels.
With walls leaning outward, the form required arup to design the floor framing system to manage heavier lateral loads.Like a ship, the intended effect was to pull the exterior walls in to keep them from pushing out.

On the western side of Park-e Laleh and northern side of keshavarz boulevard, the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art is located.
the skylight of the wind catcher act as guidance to direct outer light to the inside of the building.
Even though in the past the windows embedded in the wind catcher and has been used for ventilation , but today these windows will not open and only used to bring the light to the inside.
According to the main street museum is rotated 45 degrees and except the four skylights above the entrance, the other skylights are all located in the North East.
