Gospel Singing! What are the origins of Gospel Singing? How has Gospel Music developed over time? What are some of the vocal techniques and key features that we have been using in our Gospel songs? Thanks for watching! The music known today as Gospel music is a music
form deeply in the musical tradition of the African-American as well as in the African music tradition in general Its foundations was created out of a enormous culture shock which in a tragic but creative way came to blend African culture with European Anglo saxin traditions. the evolution of Gospel music was evident at the 2011 McDonald’s Gospelfest event Saturday where performances during the night’s talent competition transcended ethnic, geographic and artistic boundaries traditionally associated with the genre. In its 28th year, the event is known as the biggest Gospel celebration in the New York Tri-State area. This year’s show drew a crowd of over 14,000 The techniques we have been using are sometimes we can have a harmony and also can be a higher pitch than other parts of our groups that we were put into. we also made a twist to maybe make it sound catchy so more people will listen to it and also maybe join in the future Gospel choirs. by Georgia Lewington
