Bier Art Gallery Tyler Bier and Anna Farrell Stoneware Guitars Functional Stoneware These beautiful, beverage safe, mugs are high-fired stoneware and are safe to put in the microwave, dishwasher, and oven (that is, if you find a reason to put a mug in the oven). These ceramic (purely decorative) guitars have been received incredibly well by people in Michigan and across the country. We take care and put hours of detailed work both in the assembly and glazing stages making each guitar unique and well made. The guitar's body is assembled first from clay slabs which becomes the foundation for the guitar's unique characteristics such as pick guards, knobs and pickups. guitar is then fired in a bisque, then glazed, then fired once more. But, this process, and the guitar, wouldn't be complete without being strung with wire, making it sound a little flat

This guitar was fired in our gas kiln to 2300 degrees. We've combined our gold, albany, red, white and clear glaze along with iron oxide to create this beautiful piece.
