Transcript of Jaclyn Lane,Jackson

This fifth grade year has been so much fun. I have learned so many things. i have many great friends.
This year in writing, we read A Christmas Carol. We also made our own Harris Burdick story based on the book by Chris Van Allsburg.
In reading we read Tuck Everlasting. I thought it was a great book. It was about how a family drank from a puddle and they lived forever. A girl found them and they kept her. Her family was worried. Someone knew where she went and overheard the whole story. He tried to take the pond. Someone shot him; she went to the gallows; people recued her.
This year in science we did our science fair projects and board. My partner was Brinley. I thought we made a great team. We made it to the Hamilton High competition.
In math this year I found it just a little challenging. We learned how to convert decimals into percent and we also have learned how to make and read a graph.
Social Studies
We have learned about the colonies and how they were unfairly taxed. We played a game so we could see what it was like. I thought it was unfair.
This year in specials we did volleyball and we also did gymnastics. In band we play many songs. In P.E. we are playing soccer.
