Teacher Guided Review
Pass out piano keyboard helps
HW: Prep for sight singing pass off #9 on Wednesday. It's on Edmodo now.
Vaca Pena: 73%
Sylvan Choir: 73%
Crescent Choir: 64%
Felyricani: 57%
Sylvan Singers: 50%
Each class took the same Test
Class Avg.
What troubles me is that the middle school scored higher than most of our high school students. The musical is extra curriciular, let's not use that as an excuse. ; ) especially because some of the highest scores are from leads in the musical.
I put the entire quiz on Edmodo to preview two days prior to the assessment. Did we take advantage of this? : )
Each class has a study guide to look at prior to the assessment; 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3. Did you take 5-10 min to review?
Several Sylvan Singers did not take the quiz. Do you have your course syllabus/schedule posted at home that I gave you the first week of Jan stating when each quiz and assignment is due? Did you look at Edmodo.com and print out the quiz I gave you in advance?? Did you read the study guide on Edmodo.com? I know this process is new to you. It's also new to all my other classes : )
I need to improve too, so I'm going
to review the parts most students
missed today, give more time for students to ask questions, and request that everyone
who scored lower than a 70% retake the quiz
using the same link on Edmodo.com. Learning is fun!!
Music playing: Pink's "Try"
I'm grateful for your efforts, you've each scored well on previous tests. I also recognize I'm accountable for these low scores. Let's see how we can improve.
