The Teaching with Technology short course is designed not only to equip teachers with the
to integrate technology into their lesson and curriculum planning, but also to provide them with critical and pertinent information they can use to advocate for the broader use of technology in their schools.

There is both a national...
In South Africa, the use and integration of technology in the classroom is state-sanctioned. The Department of Basic Education has developed policies for ICT integration that place the emphasis on using technology effectively and meaningfully to enhance the learning environment.
And a global need.
In the Digital Age, students need skills vastly different to those required in the past. To increase their likelihood of securing employment after school, students must be acquainted with, if not proficient in, Information Technology, which has transformed the modern workplace in which they hope to thrive. There is a need for digital literacy, which can only be met if teachers embrace and integrate technology in their classrooms.

A small group discussion
A class-wide discussion - note that Optional Activities often direct students to the forum
