Resources of geothermal energy range from shallow ground all the way to Multan rock or magma geothermal energy is used in geothermal heat pumps which help cool and heat buildings. The geothermal heat pump consists of heat pumps, an air delivery system and a heat exchanger a system of pipes buried in the shallow ground near the building. In the winter the pumps remove heat from the exchangers and puts it into the building
in the summer the system is reversed the heat taken out of the building goes to the exchanger. This is a renewable energy source because it is found in the earth every day. Solar Energy Their are two different types of solar energy. solar energy Solar energy can be used in many ways to provide electricity, mechanical power, heat and lighting as well. Passive solar energy can be used to save substantial electricity bills. A design of a building is very important if tapping into passive solar energy. The building, and windows are designed in a way that carefully balance their energy needs without additional mechanical equipment. Solar benefits are used through windows and pumps, and fans are used minimally. Passive solar energy uses building constituents like walls, floors, roofs, windows, and the houses exterior elements. Also the landscaping this can all be used to control heat generated by the sun. A bad thing about this source of energy is the night because the sun will get cover up cooling down your house but you can batteries that store solar energy. Passive Solar Energy Solar Energy Active Solar Energy Active solar energy has the same principals as passive solar energy except that the active solar uses fluids (like water) to absorb the heat. A solar collector placed on the roof heats up the fluid which then get pumped through a range of pipes which then heats up the whole building solar panels which are sheets of silicon. the solar panels convert solar rays into electrical power. The good thing about solar energy is that the sun is always available, but the bad news is that the system is to expensive for a widespread for consumers. This could possibly change in the future leading to a almost eco friendly world. A bad thing about all solar energy is it can not be used at night and must be stored in batteries Wind Energy Wind energy is a form of solar energy winds are caused by uneven heating of the atmosphere by the sun. Wind flow patterns are modified by the earths terrains, the bodies of water, and the vegetative land cover. When the wind flow is harvested in modern day wind turbines it can be used to make an electrical current which can then make electricity. Wind energy uses wind turbines which use the kinetic energy in the wind to make mechanical power. The mechanical power can be used to for grinding grains and pumping water. But if you were to use a generator you could turn the mechanical power into electricity for houses, schools, and business. Some of the problems with is that the wind turbines could probably be an problem for flying organisms. Wind energy is also not fully able to meet our needs and some wind turbines have to use batteries and pumped hydro. Chemical Energy Chemical energy is the energy that is stored in the compounds of chemicals like atoms and molecules. Chemical energy is released and it mostly consist of heat. Exothermic is the name of this reaction. Many thing are powered by chemical energy like batteries,petroleum,natural gas,and coal are all very good examples of chemical energy. This type of energy can not be reused since natural gasses are getting used up so and more carbon dioxide affects are air badly. Another good example of chemical energy

topic 7-8 Electrical Energy Electrical energy is made fro the movement of an electrical charge. There are two types of electrical charge (negative- and positive+). Electrical energy is a electron moving from positive charge to negative charge. There is one neutron and proton, the proton is positive and the neutron is negative. the two go around a wire and a way to harvest it is by adding a light then a switch then a plug in. We can harvest this energy with all modern tools. Electrical energy can be used for lighting we can also convert solar energy into electrical energy. Electrical energy is also used to power daily devises and appliances and many different ways of transportation. electrical energy matter about source of energy used to make the electricity. some forms of creating electrical energy are wind turbines solar energy and geothermal power. Because wind energy solar energy and geothermal energy can all be converted to electrical energy. Fossil Fuel Fossil fuels are dead plants and animals that are prehistorical. The organisms over time become things like coal, fuel or oil, natural gas crude oil, diesel, gasoline . Fossil fuels can be used to power a car with diesel or gasoline. Some stoves need gas to power the burners with oils or gasses. Coal can be used to heat up the old stoves or with fire place. Fossil fuels are very useful but very bad with the environment. Fossil fuels are nonrenewable because one day we will run out fossil fuels and we will not be able to power our stoves our fire places and our cars. Mechanical energy matter on what it is made by to determine if it is renewable same thing with electricity wind turbines and geothermal energy create electricity. electricity does not make its self. But electrical energy is created from the kinetic energy from solar energy, wind energy, and geothermal energy. But if you look at a dam people think that the mechanical energy moves the generator. Its actually the water that moves the shaft is renewable but the momentum is not renewable and since the momentum is like mechanical energy it makes it nonrenewable. As is said before it matters on the thing that mechanical energy is working in if it were a turbine it would be harmful for flying animals. But if it were for solar generator it would not harm as much animals. We use mechanical energy to move shaft or for the motion of are cars tire or a gun because the pull of the trigger sends a shock wave to the bullet and the kinetic energy and the potential energy both send the bullet flying. one because of the movement in the spring. And the little explosion as potential because the explosion has the po0tential to move the bullet. Add On 1 Energy can be converted into many thing like if you took wind energy and the wind pushed the blade mechanical energy would happen, but mechanical energy would be using kinetic and potential energy. The potential of the blade spinning from the power of the wind would be the potential energy and the kinetic energy would be the spinning of the blade. And when the blade spins the kinetic energy in the wind would be converted to electrical energy and the electrical energy can be used to power lights and other things. This method could also work with solar energy because the solar energy would first be the suns ray coming and getting absorbed by the silicon panel(solar panels) but the sun sends radiant energy (radiation) . Rather then fossil fuels which harm the environment. Electrical energy and mechanical energy are both formed by other energy like wind energy or solar energy because the kinetic energy is not harmful. But if you look at electrical energy it if it is powered by other types of energy like solar energy, geothermal energy, and wind energy. It is because all of this energy is renewable. And if the energy is renewable it can make electrical energy renewable. Fossil fuels are one of the earths biggest hazards. This is because fossil fuel release carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide from the cars leaving a carbon footprint in the ozone layer. Chemical energy is another nonrenewable source of energy because it is formed into coal petroleum, and natural gas. all of these energy have a problems but all of them are used in a daily lives.
