The impact of Leukemia on adolescents may be different as their are two different forms of leukemia called acute lymphoblastic leukemia & acute myelogenoul leukemia.
Both forms of the diesease progresses very quickly in adolescents & can cause devastating effect on the individual such as death but it can be kept under control.

Peripheral blood stem cell and bone narrow

transplantation-
There are different stages the doctor will decide to do, collecting stem cells, storing stem cells or transplanting stem cells to recovery.
Leukemia is a type of cancer of the blood or bone marrow (which produces blood cells). A person who has leukemia suffers from an abnormal production of blood cells (which is usually more white blood cells than red blood cells).
Leukemia is a non-communicable disease, it can not be transmitted but some people have it in their genes.
Though in most cases leukemia cannot be prevented.

Bone and Joint Pain
Unexplained Fevers and headaches
Frequent Infections
Feeling weak, tired or generally unwell
losing weight and not feeling hungry
lumps and rashes on skin
These are just common ones, because there are heaps more
Chemotheraphy-
which uses anti cancer drugs,
called cytotxics to kill cancer cell while doing the least possible damage to the healthy cells
Radiotherapy_
uses x-ray to destroy cancer cells or injure them so they cannot spread
Steroid therapy-
Steroids are naturally made in body, but it can be produced by humans and they are used to destroy cancer cells these steroids are given in chemotheraphy.
This presentation is aiming for all ages because leukemia can be caught by any of these ages. We think this is a good target audience because everyone should have a understanding of this disease because in most cases it is not preventable and anyone could get it
