A normal starting salary for chemical engineers is around $59,000 annually, while an experienced chemical engineer may see upwards to $160,000 annually.

A bachelor degree is the minimum required to establish a place in this line of work.
For those looking to be in more intensive careers a masters or even doctorate is a definite benefit. (higher salary)
