Alternative Forms of Energy What are alternative energy resources? What are the forms of alternative energy? is energy coming from the wind. Wind turbines are examples of energy coming from the wind. Wind Energy is energy coming from the Sun's rays. Solar panels that transmit electricity to businesses and homes are examples of solar energy. Solar Energy uses energy in moving water to make electricity such as in dams. Hydroelectric Energy comes from the heat stored in the Earth such as geysers. Geothermal Energy comes from burning organic matter. Solid biofuels that come from dead trees and yard waste are examples of solid biofuels. Biofuel Energy Energy sources that do not use fossil fuels

They were developed by scientists as an alternative or "another choice" for non-renewable resources. Alternative Energy Forms are:
