San Remo Jet discs are a hybrid wheel, built with spokes for strength and durability. When the substrate wheel is completed, trued, and stress relieved, disc sides are bonded to the hub rim and spokes. With a two part building process, the disc sides can be made lighter and shaped more readily, without losing any strength.
 
The new disc incorporates a toroidal bulge near the rim and a radius on the large transition leading from the hub to the bulge. These shapes make the Jet Disc not only faster than the Standard disc, they make it faster than most competitors tubular discs.

Price: Front: $1150 - Rear: $1250 The result of HED’s SCT Tuning efforts is that the Stinger 9 uses three different types of carbon and a unique layup schedule that produces a wheel that is 15% stiffer laterally and 10% more impact resistant. This was done while maintaining vertical compliance and making the rim 25 grams lighter. Cornering is noticeably improved by the use of our C2 tire well. The C2 tire well provides more support for the tire when cornering or accelerating out of the saddle. It is also worth noting that the stability of the wheel in crosswinds has been improved. This is a side effect of the improved aerodynamics. Smooth air over the rim produces stability in the wheel. This means that despite the Stinger 9 have a large amount of surface area in a side wind it still holds it's riding line well because air is flowing smoothly over it.
