Would the Darfur genocide have been as catastrophic if it was not affected by the environmental factors (including climate change)?
Population was 6 million
Made up of Africans and Arabs who both identify as Muslim
Non Arab ethnic groups rebelled against the government due to unfair treatment of their people
To respond to this the government implemented a genocide campaign
Four main environmental features
Deemed unsuitable to created any type on complex civilization
Has unreliable weather patterns, which threatens crops

The environment in Darfur will always be scared by the environmental degradation
Children left orphans, homes destroyed and many women left with 'unwanted' children.
