How Child Welfare system has failed to help foster children receive the proper treatment because they don't carefully screen potential foster parents.
How social workers are overloaded with cases that they tend to over look many other cases
How foster parents can receive the proper training to properly care for their foster child.
Many of you may say, well if a child needs a home to stay for the night or for a couple of weeks then the agency may not have any other choice but to place them in foster homes as a last minute resort.
You may think that these solutions may be costly and it’s something that the state can’t afford. However, I will point out how these solutions wouldn't go over the budget that’s already being provided to foster agencies.
Today I’m here to inform everyone that we can no longer fold our arms and continue to see the cycle of abuse unfold in Foster Care. Childcare authority should thoroughly investigate each potential foster parent’s to prevent child molesters from becoming foster parents.
