Renée Haralson is a fourteen year veteran of cable television production at lifestyle media leader Scripps Networks Interactive, home of well-known brands such as HGTV, Food Network, and Travel Channel. Currently in the role of writer/ producer, she develops and executes innovative brand integration solutions for both episodic and short-form on HGTV, DIY Network, and Great American Country. Starting as a production assistant, she brings both a grounding in production and strong project management skills to her work. Some of her numerous production credits include Food Network’s Food Finds, HGTV’s Dream Home Giveaway Live, DIY Scrapbooking, and numerous co-branded assets for Ad Sales clients such as FLN Smart Tips and HGTV Solutions.
Renée was the recipient of the Spring 2012 Unsung Hero award given by her co-workers and managers in recognition of extraordinary dedication to ensuring the highest levels of quality in her work, the unyielding exhibition of a positive attitude and the continuous reflection of the company’s core values. Specifically recognized was her work on live events such as HGTV’s Rose Parade 2012 & Rose Parade 2012- 3D, as well as her ongoing work training co-workers on new technology and applications to help with increased efficiencies. People who are especially talented in the Input theme have a craving to know more. Often they like to collect and archive all kinds of information.
People who are especially talented in the Strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues.
People who are especially talented in the Learner theme have a great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. In particular, the process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites them.
People who are especially talented in the Connectedness theme have faith in the links between all things. They believe there are few coincidences and that almost every event has a reason.
People who are especially talented in the Communication theme generally find it easy to put their thoughts into words. They are good conversationalists and presenters.

Before moving over to Branded Entertainment, I was the Supervising Producer at Scripps Productions and worked very closely mentoring and supervising Renee. She is a forward-thinking, motivated young woman who excelled in everything that was thrown at her. Renee is a great success story at Scripps Productions, however, she likes to reach out to other departments and seek opportunities as they arise.
I highly recommend her.
Director of Programming,
Scripps Networks Branded Entertainment
As the Director of Volunteer Services and Resources at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, and as Show Director/Promoter for the annual Fantasy of Trees which benefits Children’s Hospital, I have had the pleasure of knowing Renee as a volunteer leader in our organization since 1997. Renee has served in a variety of leadership capacities, all of which have required her excellent skills at managing an activities area and volunteers at our five-day event; her responsibilities have included recruiting and organizing her volunteer leadership committee team, recruiting community volunteers for the 52 hours the show is open to the public, planning display and layout space, and organizing the specific activity systems and materials. She has very capably and successfully organized eight different activities through the past sixteen years!
I enthusiastically recommend Renee for your MBA program. She is a mature and highly motivated individual with all the qualities needed to succeed in your program and in her future as a business professional.

“We’ll take what we can get. 10 minutes of Renee time is equivalent to an hour with someone else!!“; “I know you know this, but she really is amazing. I had so much going on and this ended up being a little more complicated and not so straightforward and she made my life so much easier plus I never worried about it knowing she was on the project!”
- Sue Pendleton, VP, Branded Entertainment

Johanna Hammond Hoover | VP, Production Operations, Scripps Networks Interactive
“Renee has really helped change the way I use my computer! ... She also has a vast knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. For the Texas State Fair assignment for DIY, Renee made a wonderful impression on the Programming team by creating a top notch PowerPoint presentation that turned out to be a huge success for all! ”
- Loren Ruch, VP, Programming Partnerships & Special Projects, HGTV
“Renee has made a big difference on my projects, in a positive way. She is very quick and thorough in the tasks assigned to her. She takes a project and makes it even better by taking the time to enhance documents on Excel or Word. She is an expert on Excel and I can always count on her to be accurate in the information she is working with.”
- Jen Moon, Production Manager, Production Operations
“I would like to personally thank you for taking over the FORDSTAR project. You have handled correspondence and any unforeseen problems with Jon Steinlauf [EVP, Ad Sales & Marketing, SNI] and Dennis Carneval [Ford Motor Co.] with a courteous and professional manner. The follow-through with the VP of Programming representatives in the program selection is handled in a timely manner, therefore, making this project a seamless process”

What I've Earned...
Renee is the standard to set when it comes to a business customer. Her ability to think beyond just the business and analyze the workflows and processes make her outstanding in her field. When Renee brings me a project to work on, I’m confident that not only has she already worked with her department members to ferret out the actual requirements, much as a professional business analyst does, but she has also worked to break out the project into an actual work breakdown structure that is easy to work from.
