She was first seen printed on a vinyl coin purse designed by Yuko Shimizu. It was a big hit in the market, possibly due to excessive cuteness. Two years later, this cute product was introduce to the US. Hello Kitty was just as a big success as it was in Japan. Yuko Shimizu said that the reason Hello Kitty has no mouth is because "without the mouth, it is easier for the person looking at Hello Kitty to project their feelings onto the character" and that "the person can be happy or sad together with Hello Kitty." Because of Hello Kitty's popularity,Yuko Shimizu decided to expand to her creation. On November 1st, 1947, Yuko Shimizu gave Hello Kitty the name Kitty White or also referred to as "Kitty-chan" by the Japanese . Her birthplace is London, England. She is a Japanese Bobtail Cat who lives with her mom, dad, and twin sister, Mimi. There are more than 22,000 Hello Kitty products made all around the world, with more made each month.
Did you know that Hello Kitty appears in 17 video games. Also, Hello Kitty is said to be in third grade but she is 38 years old........ In Japan, there is a popular theme park
called Harmony Land, one of the most successful
theme parks in Japan. There is also another Hello Kitty
theme park in Japan called Puroland. This theme park is another Hello Kitty success in Japan. There is a Hello Kitty cafe located in Seoul, Korea. This is very popular in Korea .
