SudREN has 92 member distributed in different states
Integrated Library System
a project funded by UNESCO. It is implemented by SudREN in collaboration with three universities: Sudan University for Science and Technology, University of Khartoum and Neelain University. The project aims to develop an integrated library system and a digital library based on open-source software Koha , DSpace.
The system is used to provide distance learning and lectures between universities in all states of Sudan and solves the problem of lecturer shortage. It is also used to conduct meetings between the universities.
SudREN training plan is to meet the needs of universities cadres and developing their practical experience in networking.
SudREN trains its cadres by participating in external workshops in order to improve their experience and develop the work environment.

SudREN received a fund from The Information Technology Support Fund for the establishment of a training program to provide certificate exams and specialist degrees in the field of network security and applications (CNE6 Level 1,2) in the sixth version of the internet protocol (IPv6).

SudREN Sponsored the launch of the first Sudan Network Operator Group (SdNOG) meeting that took place on the 23th and 27th of August 2015 at AlSalam Rotana hotel.
The meeting brought together local Operators, Regulators, Universities' admins and all other interested individuals in the Networking Community in Sudan and outside of Sudan from organizations like ICANN, PCH, Ripe NCC and ISOC. In addition to the minister of Science and Communication Dr. TahaniAbdalla who attended the opening ceremony and the General Director of the Sudanese National Telecommunications Committee Dr. Yahiya Abdullah who gave the opening remarks and both of them emphasized the continues support to all local initiatives that help develop and enrich the technical community in Sudan.
