Amy Lee was born December 13, 1981.
Her parents are John Lee and Sara Cargill. She has one brother, Robert, and two sisters, Lori and Carrie Lee had a younger sister who died in 1987 at the age of three from an unidentified illness. Hello and Like you are said to be songs Amy wrote for her late sister Amy took classical piano lessons for 9 years She originally wanted to become a classical composer Amy is greatly influenced by Classical composers, such as Mozart and by Modern artists such as Björk, Tori Amos, Danny Elfman and Plumb. In fact Evanescence's song Lacrymosa was inspired by Mozart's Lacrimosa The band was co-founded by Ben Moody in 1995. However, Ben decided to leave the band October 22, 2003 due to "creative differences". He is now in an band called We Are The Fallen. Which has the same sound as Evanescence's first ablum. Fallen spent 43 weeks on the Billboard Top 10 was certified 7x Platinum in the United States Bring Me to Life was a global hit for the band, reaching number 5 on America's Billboard Hot 100 The band's second ablum, The Open Door, was released in 2006 The album sold 447,000 copies in the United States in its first week of sales and earned their first #1 ranking on the Billboard 200 album chart The music video for Call Me When Your Sober was based off the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood. The band's third album was supposed to be released in the fall of 2010. However it has still yet to be released.
