My Gandhi Quote
Seven Deadly sins:
- Mahatma Gandhi
Let's analyze this quote
Wealth without Work
Politics without Principle
By: Jessica Terceros
There is enough for everyone's needs, but not for everyone's greed
we should only take as much as we honestly need
More people profit from others hard work, while those doing the hard work get little money.
Work hard to earn the money you deserve, its as simple as that.
Pleasure without Conscience
many people search for pleasure by indulging in drugs/alcohol (self inflicted harm)
irresponsible sexual activities can not only ruin the lives of unfit parents, but bring an innocent child into a world with no stability
Science without Humanity
Avoid conscience decisions in order to obtain pleasure
Knowledge without character
Science used to create weapons such as guns, nuclear bombs etc which, if not used responsibly has the capacity to wipe out all of humanity
Science used for abortions
Humanity shouldn't be something that we can just turn on and off, because trust me it isn't that simple, without humanity science will destroy us.
about 80% of people say that knowledge is power, therefore, people study to obtain power and wealth.
However if you have knowledge ( power) without character, then the outcome may not be picture perfect.
When you have knowledge you must have character to make your own decisions in a moral, just and honorable way
In simpler terms, knowledge without character is pretty much useless
Let's Analyze this quote
Commerce without Morality
Worship without Sacrifice
When politicians act on "power trips", the act without a sense of morals or principles
Gandhi believes that when a politician gives up truth, justice and virtues in order to win an election, our society will be "doomed"
We have the power to elect those in power, therefore we must choose wisely!
Just like wealth without work, we take part in commerce without morality.
We scam innocent people into paying twice as much for an object
When profit becomes the center of attention for a business, that means that there morals, ethics and customer service are pretty much shot through the roof
Worship has become a routine to most people, instead it should be looked at as something sacred
religion should be based on spirituality, love, appreciation, trust in your god etc
We may go to church, proclaim the scriptures to other but if we don't exhibit our faith in our daily lives then worship is nothing without some sacrifice.
