Wytclyiffe Bible Translaters And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Mark 16:15 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, GO and make disciples of all the nations,* baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”
Jesus replied, “ ‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:36-40 Tyndale House Publishers. (2007). Holy Bible : New Living Translation. (3rd ed.) (Mt 22:36–40). Carol Stream, IL: Tyndale House Publishers. What is the Gospel? Definitions 1 John 4:19 "We love each other because he loved us first" We Evangelize out of Love for God “If you love me, obey my commandments. John 14:15 When we share the heart and passions of God we have a natural drive to be more like Him. We evangelize out of love for the lost Mark 6:34 Matthew 9:36-38 For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.
-Luke 19:10 Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” We evangelize out of obedience to God 1 Cor 9:16 Yet preaching the Good News is not something I can boast about. I am compelled by God to do it. How terrible for me if I didn’t preach the Good News! But...I am not an Evangelist! It is the fact that Christ Died
It is the fact that Christ was buried
It is the fact that Christ rose again People accept by faith. They repent of their sin, putting their trust in His finished work alone. Evangelism is sharing the Gospel (Good News) to those who are perishing with the idea of giving them enough information so they can make a decision for Christ. What is Evangilism? PRAY Before we talk to men about God we must talk to God about men. Prayer is the Key to Witnessing Know the Romans Road or other Plan of Salvation and have It highlighted in your Bible 1st Stop Last Stop 2nd Stop 3rd Stop Start The Romans Road Romans 3:23
All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God Romans 6:23
The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:8
But God commended his love toward us in as while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. Romans 10:13
Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?
15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” Romans 10:13-15 OUR FEET! Many Christians talk a good talk...but they don't walk a good walk
We need to walk the walk for our talk to have any impact Feet are personal! They can't be separated from the rest of your body. You can't send you feet somewhere that you can't go yourself. You have to go where your feet go. Feet determine the direction in which you go. When our feet are set on a path of sharing with others about Jesus...if that is truely the goal that is set in our hearts...then we'll strain for that objective no matter what. Feet? What's so significant about our feet? God doesn't say: Notice "How beautiful is the tract that you hand out"
"How beautiful is the invitation to church you leave on thier door"
"How beautiful is the e-mail that you forward" "How Beautiful are your feet" He Say's: What does that mean?
It means we as Christians need to be willing to be where people are when we spread the Gospel. The Great Commission We are compelled by God to evangelize
