DEFINISION AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
AIR CONDITIONING = IS THE REMOVAL OF HEAT FROM INDOOR AIR FOR THERMAL COMFORT.

AIR CONDITIONER = IS A HOME APPLIENCE, SYSTEM , OR MECHANISM DESIGNED TO DEHUMIDIFY AND EXTRACT HEAT FROM AN AREA.
= THE COOLING IS DONE USING A SIMPLE REFRIGERATION CYCLE

HVAC (HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING) REFERS TO TECHNOLOGY OF INDOOR OR AUTOMOTIVE ENVIRONMENTAL COMFORT
REFRIGERATION CYCLE
* A HEAT PUMP TRANSFER HEAT FROM A LOWER TEMPERATURE HEAT SOURCE INTO A HIGHER TEMPERATURE HEAT SINK.
* HEAT WOULD NATURALLY FLOW IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
* MOST COMMON TYPE OF AIR CONDITIONING .
* A REFRIGERATOR WOEKS IN MUCH THE SAME WAY, AS IT PUMPS THE HEAT OUT OF THE INTERIOR AND INTO THE ROOM IN WHICH IT STANDS..
* THIS CYCLE TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE WAY PHASE CHANGE WORKS, WHERE LATENT HEAT IS RELEASED AT A CONSTANT TEMPERATURE DURINGA LIQUID/ GAS PHASE SHANGE AND WHERE VARYING THE PRESSURE OF A PURE SUBTANCE ALSO VARIES ITS CONDENSATION / BOILING POINT
1) CONDENSING COIL
-REFRIGERANT VAPOUR IS COMPRESSED AND FORCED
- HEAT IS RELEASV IS COMPRESSED AND FORCED THROUGH ANOTHER HEAT EXCHANGE COIL,CONDENSING THE REFRIGERANT INTO A LIQUID,THUS REJECTING THE HEAT PREVIOUSLY ABSORBED FROM THE COOLED SPACE.
2) EXPANSION VALVE
-CONNECTED TO EVAPORATOR INLET.

3) EVAPORATOR COIL
-HEAT IS ABSORBED.
-A REFRIGERANT IS PUMPED N LOCATED IN THE COMPARTMENT TO BE COOLED WHWRE THE LOW PRESSURE CAUSES THE REFRIGERANT TO EVAPORATE INTO A VAPOUR
4)COMPRESSOR
-USES AN ELETRIC MOTOR TO DRIVER COMPRESSOR
-PRESSURE CHANGES BETWEEN TWO COMPARTMENTS AND ACTIVELY CONDENSE AND PUMP A REFRIGERANT AROUND.

-THERE IS FREE SPACE BEHIND THE WALL FOR DISSIPATING
WINDOW UNIT
* MOST COMMONLY USED AND CHEAPEST TYPE OF AIR CONDITIONERS.
*THERE IS FREE SPACE BEHIND THE WALL FOR DISSIPANTING THE HEAT AND DRIPPING WATER.
* TO INSTALL, NEED THE SPACE TO MAKE A SLOT IN THE WALL, AND THERES SHOULD ALSO BE SOME OPEN SPACE BEHIND THE WALL.
* COMPRISED OF COMPONENTS LIKE THE COMPRESSOR, CONDENSER, EXPANSION VALVE OR EXPANSION OIL, AND THE EVAPORATEROR THE COOLING COIL, ALL HOUSED IN A SINGLE BOX.
