What is the purpose of NDVI Imaging
The basic principle of NDVI relies on the fact that due to the spongy layers found on the backside of leaves, they reflect a lot of NIR infrared light. When the plant becomes dehydrated or stressed, the spongy layer collapses and reflects less NIR light, but the same amount in the visible range. When you combine the ratio between the two signals, you can determine how healthy or sick/stressed a plant is.

Soil maps are the base-layer for any spatial analysis

Think of it as a MRI of the field - Allows us to see the soil composite from surface to 3+ feet down.
This "map" translates to the water and nutrient holding capcity of the soil.
Findings: EVA was able to increase yields in corn by 15.1%, and in wheat by 7.0% with 3.0% better test weight.
