Ancient India!!!
Most people in Ancient India as in other parts of Asia and Europe were farmers. In India farmers mainly grew wheat, rice, and cotton for clothing. However there have always been a lot of Indians involved in trade too, because India is between China and West Asia .Indian people were selling things like gold to people in China and Chinese things like silk and pottery to people in West Asia. They especially sold clothing and spices like pepper and cinnamon. All this trade made India a rich country

In much of India , there was only one big weather event ,that was the MONSOON. Most of the year it was very dry and sunny in India.Everything got hot and brown. But around May you would start to get a muggy, heavy feeling .And suddenly it would just start raining all at once. That was the MONSOON.
Flowers would grow and precious water would go to rivers. And then it would stop the old India would visit AGAIN. So if the Monsoon didn't come many animals and people would be harmed.

robes. Women wore jewelry of gold and precious stone.( THEY ALSO WORE

.)A statue of a lady was found , which means they enjoyed dance and had great skill working with metals. Dinner was warm tasty wheat bread served with barley or rice . They grew barley, peas, melons, wheat and dates.Farms kept herds of sheep, pigs and zeebus (a kind of cow)also the farmers would go to the river and catch fish. They must have marvelous craftsmen skilled in pottery and weaving. They also had beads and ornaments . These items really represented Ancient India.

The three important religions in India are Hinduisim,Islam, Buddihism and Jainism. Buddihism spread into other places in Asia, and Islam came into India from West asia. Jainism was introduced by Vardhamma mahavira, who gave up his wealth and traveled around India. There's not that much we know about the earliest Indian religion,of the harrapan people but what we do know is that they belived in more than one god.In around 1500 BC the Indian European Gods entered India as well. After that Hinduism began. Hinduism is polythiestic .But in 600 BC Indian people were intrested in some other way to get a good re-birth than through sacrifice and priests.

Indian farmers seem to have been using water wheels to lift water
for irrigation- the earliest water wheels in the world, though these
don't provide power-they're powered by oxen turning them.

Nobody knows what the goverment of the Harrapen period was like probably they had a king over each city as in West Asia at the same time. Possibly they had some queens,as in Egypt at this time. By about 1500 BC,after the Aryan invasion, all of the people in India seem to have divided into caste.
Only men from the highest - Brahmin-were allowed to be the goverment, rulers and clerk. These men did't allow women at all :( . Most of India continued to be divided into small kingdoms, each with thier own king.
The most common kind of government was monarchy.
Merchants, farmers, and craftspeople know as Vaishya followed. Unskilled
labrores and servants were the shruda. A fifth group of people were below shurudas. These people were literally outcaste, part of a group outside of the caste system. they were known as the untouchable
The Indian people who followed early Hinduism introduced the idea of the caste,or class. This system is still going on in India now.At the top of the caste system were the BRAHMIN and KSHATRIYA. The Brahmin were the priests, teachers and judges who understood Dharma. Dharma were the spiritual laws that the people of ANCIENT INDIA believed governed the universe. KSHATRIYA were the warrior caste who ran the government.
