Financial statements for banks show several analytical problems than statement for other businesses such as manufacturing and construction companies. As a result, bank's financial statements require accurate analysis in order to measure its past performance; risks may face and expected future growth.
The purpose of this project is to analyze and evaluate financial statement for BBK and calculate financial ratios to measure the performance for the Bank and it strengths and weaknesses.

1. Total Assets





From 2009 to 2013, total Assets in BBK have increased. This continuous increase in total assets was largely driven by an increase in customer lending and in the non-trading investment portfolio which was supported by the growth in customer deposits, with surplus liquidity being placed in highly liquid assets such as governments’ treasury bills or held with central banks and primarily the Central Bank of Bahrain.

Liquidity Risk = Cash Assets and government securities/ Total Assets:
Liquidity risk is the risk that a company or bank may be unable to meet short term financial demands

Credit risk= Total loans/Total deposit.
Credit risk refers to the risk that a borrower will default on any type of debt by failing to make required payments.

The figure above shows the credit risk from 2009 to 2013. As illustrated, from 2009 to 2010 it slightly increases. In 2011, it sharply decrease and 2012, it approximately remained constant. In 2013, it slightly increases.

we recommend the bank to conduct Service for the student of UOB is to Pay 15% of fess registration to the student which they have account with the bank .Other service is to make loan to the student and the maturity of the loan is when the student have finish the University . Also is to take every years 10 students which they have 90% of the grade in the Secondary School and make them studying Banking and Finance and pay to them monthly salary by BD75. At the End, we enjoy to analysis the BBK and well find the performance was well done.
