of Oprah Oprah Winfrey About Oprah Events Overcome Obstacles Leadership Skills Video Oprah personally donated and raised millions of dollars to victims of poverty and disease.

She discussed many problems and struggles that are encountered in today’s society.

She is influencing the world of publishing, with her book club and making millions for the authors whose books are discussed.

She helped spread the idea that everyone, especially women are individually valuable. communicating and relating herself to people from all over and in all kinds of situations.

ability to communicate effectively to view issues from many different kinds of perspectives has fans viewing her talk show worldwide.

The capability to discuss with people has brought out inner thoughts and personal confessions of her past.

Being self-reflective and encouraging by finding the best out of people and helping them contribute to many charity organizations Troubled Childhood: was sexually abused and harassed by many of her male relatives. Also she was pregnant at one point in her life, but her baby died within 2 weeks.

Oprah at age 17, won beauty pageant and was offered an on air job at a radio station.

In 1986, Winfrey launched Oprah Winfrey Show as a national program. Show became a hit with many viewers
