To design a body of 24 feet flat bed chassis in which 10 pallets of 1040 kg each is placed on truck.

STEP BY STEP

vehicle as it has having a maximum mass exceeding 12 tonnes.
The rules & regulation which is followed in designing of body is according to CMVR.
should be less than 4.2metres
should be less than 2.5metres
should be less than 11 metres (exclusive of front and rear bumpers) .
Our design dimensions are :
Breadth: 2.45 metres
Length: 10.085 metres
Height: 3.982 metres
Difference between cabin & body is 9.02 inches.
Some space is provided in the Centre, so that if the bottles of soft drinks breaks then the liquid can drain out.
Channel base are inclined at 1 degree to provide slope to floor.
Hollow square tubes & angles are used to make the frame, so that the pallets are stiff and during the motion of truck the pallets remain stable.
MS sheet of 10 gauge is used for floor.
REAR & FRONT SHEET
For rear, front & roof covering MS sheet of 10 gauge is used.
Angles & Square tubes are used for side under ride protection device & for rear under ride protection device.
For side, white strips reflectors are used.
For rear, orange colored circular lights and yellow strips ore used.
A design is provided on front so that it provides aerodynamics to the truck design.
