How is the energy generated?
Its generated from regenerative braking(energy recovery) and from gasoline engine.
The gasoline engine in the hybrid is a lot like other vehicles except its smaller and more efficient.
How is the energy collected & stored & how is it released?

Hybrid cars use a rechargeable energy storage system. The engines on these cars are smaller & more efficient.
Hybrid cars use regenerative braking to generate electricity when traveling.
The term "hybrid cars" refers to any vehicle that uses diff. fuels such as petroleum & ethanol.
Battery price and longer battery life.
Helps the environment, causes less pollution!
Low fuel consumption.
Smaller engines & greater use of electric power.
Hybrid cars cost more than the standard model.
Battery replacement schedules are unknown.
Some Hybrid cars need to be charged & cold weather effects the battery.

The Hybrid car was invented in the late 1800's and first appeared in public, in 1900. Jacob Lohner & Ferdinand Porsche created the Lohner-Porsche Elektromobil (first hybrid car).
