Marduk Creates the World from the Spoils of Battle by the Babylonians
The beginning
Apsu the god of fresh water and Tiamat the goddess of salt water were mingled as one
Apsu plans to kill his descendents
Ea kills apsu and builds a palace on his waters
Ea and Damkina has a child named marduk
The other gods tell Tiamat that Ea killed her husband
Tiamat gathers and army of dragons and monsters to fight Ea
Ea asks his son to fight for him in battle, he agrees on the condition of being ruler of the gods
Marduk destroys Tiamat's army and kills her
He cuts her body in half and places part in the sky and made the heavens, places stations in the stars for the gods, and set the moon in the sky
The other half was used to creat the earth, and from her eyes he made the tigris and eurphrates rivers
From her genrals blood, clay from the earth, and spittle from her supporters, Ea and Ninthu create the humans and task them with the jobs of the gods used to make them
Marduk's birth
The armies prepare for battle
The birth of gods
The destruction of Tiamat and the creation of heavens, stars, earth, and humans
apsu and tiamat have kids who have many more kids until Ea is born
Ea is the strongest and most powerful. He becomes the ruler of the gods
