Article 5
Nobody has the right to torture, harm or humiliate you.

What Article 5 Means
This is very important in my life because if someone tried to kidnap me and torture me, they wouldn’t be able to because they are not following the law. So, that person would have to go to jail for a long time since they broke to law and they don’t have a right to do that. For example, say your going to the grocery store and someone tries to kidnap you. They then take you to their house and try to torture you and make you their slave. But then, they wouldn’t be able to do that since they don’t have a right to do that. Also, no one has the right to bully you since that is humiliation.

Also, no one hit me or bully me because they don’t have a right to do that. So that person would have to are consequences because they are breaking the law. Another way that this is important in my life is that nobody blackmail me and put something embarrassing online because that is humiliation.
This is helpful in my life because nobody can come in my house and rob me and tell me that I have to put all my possessions into a bag. Nobody can do this because they do not have a right, so that person would have to go to jail. Also, nobody can hold me captive and have me do everything for them because I have the right to be free. Also, if someone tries to capture me and I escape, I would feel paranoid and unsafe. This is an example of a violation of my rights.

“Wherever men and women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place must — at that moment — become the center of the univerese"-Elie Wiesel
