Behaviour/Practices between Dubai and Haiti
Similarities with Trinidad and Tobago
Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates and is the most populated city of the Emirates. It is located in the Middle East on the Arabian Gulf.
It is a cosmopolitan metropolis that has steadily grown into a business and cultural hub of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf.
It got its name from the first people, the 'Tainos'. The word means 'mountainous country'.
It gained its Independence in 1804, after ousting the Spanish, the French and the British.
It is located in the subtropics on the western third of Hispaniola, the second largest island in the Caribbean, which it shares with the Spanish-speaking Dominican Republic.
In 2010, the population of Haiti was estimated at 10,303,968 people. Densely populated. 70% Africans, 20% mulatto and white, 10% other. Much more females than males 50% less 21 yrs. old.
In 2012, Dubai's population was estimated at 2,174,000. The population is varied, with only 10-15% believed to be nationals. The rest of the population are made up of those that are there because of work or business.
Haiti's resources comes from agriculture, small industries e.g. flour milling, textiles etc.and recently the discovery of minerals. Haiti's economy struggles, due to repeated disasters. It is a financially poor country
Because of its heavy African influence, Haitian have mixed Catholicism and African rituals together to create a religion called 'voodoo'. More than 50% of Haitians practice voodoo.

Common Law arrangements
Christian and muslim marriages are common in all three countries
Hindu weddings are common in Dubai and Trinidad and Tobago
Common law arrangements are common to Trinidad and Tobago and in Haiti.
In Trinidad and Tobago as well as Dubai, large wedding celebrations occur.
Some of these similarities occur due to common immigration of people. Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago share the history of African enslavement.
On 2 December 1971 Dubai, together with Abu Dhabi and five other emirates, formed the United Arab Emirates after former protector Britain left the Persian Gulf in 1971.
About the Countries
Dubai get its financial resources from aviation, real-estate, business and tourism. It is a finally rich province.
