Music Piano Electric Guitar The piano first known as the pianoforte evolved from the harpsichord around 1700 to 1720, by Italian inventor Bartolomeo Cristofor. My instruments From 1790 to the mid 1800s, piano technology and sound was greatly improved due to the inventions of the Industrial Revolution, such as: the new high quality steel called piano wire, and the ability to precisely cast iron frames. The tonal range of the piano increased from the five octaves of the pianoforte to the seven and more octaves found on modern pianos. My Piano The first solid body electric guitar was invented by Les Paul in 1941. It wasn’t a pretty sight like the Les Paul’s you see today, but it was still the first in it’s class. It was basically a solid square wooden body with 6 steel strings on a neck. In the 1950′s The Gibson company got together with Les Paul to present the Gibson Les Paul we all know today. One of the most known guitar players was left-handed. Jimi Hendrex took a right handed guitar and restrung it because he couldn't afford a new left-handed. My guitar Bass Guitar THE original bass guitar was developed bu Paul Tutmarc in the 1930s as a replacement for the double bass, but he received little success for the invention. In the 1950's Leo Fender took the idea and produced the first mass produced bass guitar on the market; the precision bass. I play a left handed Ibanez Bass Drums (Percussion) Drums were originally used by Native Americans, who used drums as a way to communicate with spirits, and used to bless people. They also were used at pow wows, or indian festives. Now days drums are used throughout different bands, like school bands, rock bands, jazz bands, or almost any kind of band because they help keep the beat. Guitars Alto Saxophone Adolphe Sax invented the saxophone in the 1840s in Brussels, Belgium. Although the instrument was patented in France in 1846, letters between Adolphe and his friends indicate that the saxophone was developed as early as 1840. The saxophone is the newest member of the woodwind family; the oboe, clarinet and other woodwinds were invented before the saxophone. Baritone Saxophone The baritone saxophone was invented by Adolphe Sax in 1841. The baritone saxophone is the lowest member of the saxophone family commonly used in musical ensembles. This instrument was one of the members of the 14 instrument group invented to be present in every musical style available at the time. The style that was not present at the time--jazz--later proved to be the baritone saxophone's most common application. Acoustic Guitar Acoustic guitars date back to the 16th century. Over the course of 100 years, they became the predominant instrument in Europe. There are six-string and 12-string acoustic guitars, which can be played with or without amplifiers. Top-quality acoustic guitars have bodies, backs and sides made of solid wood. My Guitar It is an Ibanez AE with a suburts theme made from mahogany.
