A congregational chapter has official canonical work to do:
Evaluate the life and mission of the congregation since the last chapter.
Set congregational direction.
Elect leadership. Our Congregational Chapter 2014 Expectations Prior to the chapter, sisters will engage with the pre-chapter activities within their area chapters. This includes discussion of the chapter question within a process to come to one question, election of delegates to the chapter, and invitation to leadership.

Chapter will last for six (6) consecutive days following our Jubilee day of celebration. It will begin on the morning of June 23 and end at the end of the day on June 28.

The chapter daily schedule will begin at 9 AM and will conclude at 4 PM. It will be held at the Mirenda Center for Sport, Spirituality, and Character Development on the Neumann University campus.

The daily liturgy will be in OLA main chapel following the day's proceedings.

Delegates will be assigned to two groupings.
The base group will consist of eight (8) sisters (or less).
The consensus group will be a different grouping of eight (8) sisters (or less).
All delegates will be expected to bring the sharing of the base group to the consensus group as a representative of that group.

Night activities will be optional but each base and consensus table will have a facilitator. Facilitators chosen from among the delegates will be expected to attend evening sessions of preparation for the next day's activities. Role of Area Chapter Election of Delegates and Confirmation of Participation Within a prescribed ritual, the sisters will discern with the area chapter their intended participation in the congregational chapter. Sisters are expected to be fully aware of the qualifications and responsibilities of each level of participation. Sisters engage in the congregational chapter through area chapter participation prior to the event, in prayerful support prior to and during the chapter proceedings, and all are responsible to support congregational chapter directions. Sister delegates will be elected by the area chapter according to the guidelines in our statutes.
92.1. The process for electing delegates to the congregational chapter follows this sequence:
Sisters who are able to attend the entire chapter and who are willing to participate in pre-chapter preparation indicate their availability in their area chapter.
The list of nominees is presented by the representative of the area chapter to its members.
Sisters in the area chapter vote/do not vote for each listed name.
Those sisters are elected as delegates to the congregational chapter who receive more than half the votes of the members of the area chapter.
