Chief Executive of Triangles Unlimited, Inc., Esther Siu Triangles in the Real World Real World Examples of Triangles Acute Triangle: Real World Examples of Congruent Triangles S.S.S. Global Application These triangles have angles less than 90 degrees. A slice of pizza is a great example of a real world acute triangle. Right Triangle: Right Triangles consist of one 90 degree angle.
This boat here has a sail that is in the shape of a right triangle. Obtuse Triangle: Obtuse triangles have one angle that measures up to more than 90 degrees, like this hanger. Scalene Triangle: Isosceles Triangle: Equilateral Triangle: Triangles that don’t have any congruent sides are called scalene triangles, like Darren Criss’ eyebrows. Triangles with two congruent sides are called isosceles triangles. These Hair clips have two congruent sides. An equilateral triangle has three equal sides like this yield sign. S.A.S A.S.A. H.L. A.A.S. This bridge consists of two triangles
that are Congruent by SSS.
Angle A and and C are congruent. This flag has two triangles that are congruent by SAS.
In this triangle, angle c is congruent to angle f. These buildings have triangles that are congruent by ASA.
Here, angle A is congruent to angle D. This tent is a great example of two triangles
that are congruent by HL.
Sides CA and AM are congruent.
This pyramid consists of two triangles that are congruent by AAS.
Angle B is Congruent to angle C. a b c d e f A B C D E F A B C D There are three points in the ocean. Those points contain Miami, Florida, Bermuda, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
These points create the Bermuda Triangle. Triangle Shaped Writing Utensils Do your hands and fingers ever hurt after writing for a while? Well, with triangle shaped writing utensils, they fit the shape of your hand better. Triangular writing tools position the hand and fingers in a tripod grasp which is the most efficient and ergonomically correct grasp to reduce writing fatigue. The three, congruent sides of the utensil allows you to write comfortably for a long period of time. Also, you will never have to worry about your pencil or pen rolling of the table because the three sides allow for the pencil to stop rolling! Thank you!
