Allowing teens to drive if they are not ready would be the parent’s fault. Actually, when teens drive, they usually just go to a friend’s house, not causing problems on the road. Finally, allowing teens to drive provides them with an education and responsibility. What do you think? Should the driving age be raised to 21? To begin with, letting teens drive if they are not ready could be the parent's fault. Maybe their teenager was not ready or not responsible enough to drive. On December 4, 2004 at 3pm in Warrensburg, Illinois, two teenage boys were in a car together. The older of the two, Steve Hobson, was driving. Thinking it was okay, he drove over 100mph on a country road. They took a sharp turn, flew into a creek, and died. This could be the parents fault for letting him drive even when he was not responsible enough to drive. Furthermore, teenagers who drive usually go and chill at a friend's house while adults drink. This usually leads to drinking and driving. This causes the most problems and wrecks on the road according to statistics.Three out of ten teenagers drink alcohol.Six out ten adults drink achohol. Statistically, adults are more likely to drink on the road. Indeed, driving also gives teenagers an education. Teaching them how to drive gives them responsibility. How?This gives teens something to think about and deal with. They have to learn how to drive, maintain a car, and pay for gas! This gives them responsibility to deal with. Teens count down the days for when they drive. They even count down the days when they learn to take drivers education! Teens can't wait to drive. 85% of teens want to drive. Let them drive! Should America raise the driving age to 21?

The debate's pros and cons. The pros of raising the driving age. The driving age is way too low. In some states kids can drive as young as 14. The amount of car accidents that happen with minors is CRAZY. There are way too many car accidents with the youth. Allowing children just entering their teens to drive is ridiculous. Many kids look forward to getting their license, and wish they could get it at a younger age, but they are still just kids. They are too immature to be allowed to start driving. The cons of raising the driving age. Teens are four times more likely to get in a car accident than adults - and that's only because of their lack of experience compared to those of someone in their 30's. Some people have had YEARS of driving experience. Raising the driving age would not solve any of this, but merely raise the popular age group for most car accidents. It does not matter if you are 16 or 30, you still need to have experience for driving. Now think of this...... If your neighbor gets caught for stealing a 50,000 dollar wedding ring, should you go to jail? No??

Now,if one of your classmates was speeding while driving, should your driver's license be taken away from you? You answer that.
