Transcript of NHRA Drag Racing

NHRA at its Finest Drag Racing Racing at the Core Classes of Racers Funny Car Racers at Heart Top Fuel Pro Stock Top Fuel Racers Drag Racing is a race against time, an opponent, and yourself. In any competition, you must be fully aware of your own strengths and weaknesses, along with those of your challenger. In this case, it is more about the vehicle than the driver. The build, the horsepower, speed, and many other very complex aspects of the car. To be a successful driver, you need to know the ins and outs of your dragster. There are several different categories of races and cars. Funny Car, Top Fuel, Outlaw, etc. each race requires a very distinct set of rules and regulations for each driver and their vehicle.

The professional categories are Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock. These are just a few of the over 200 total classes of racing. <iframe src="http://funnycars.magnify.net/video/John-Force-Crash-at-Dallas-Cond/player?layout=&read_more=1" width="420" height="451" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe> Some influential racers of the NHRA are Antron Brown (top fuel), Tony Schumacher (top fuel), Coutrney, Ashley & John Force (funny car), Cruz & Tony Petragon (funny car), Eric Enders (pro stock), and Waren Johnson (pro stock). Starting at the bottom, and working their way up. NHRA isn't a sport, nor a hobby, it is a lifestyle. It requires dedication, hard work, a team, and passion. Any one can drive, but not just anyone can be a true Drag Racer. Antron Brown, Ranked 9th in the NHRA with 31 wins in 63 final rounds, 29 poles and 394 round wins in 14 seasons as a professional racer. In addition, he is the only driver in NHRA history to have won races and led the standings in both Top Fuel and Pro Stock Motorcycle. No one in NHRA Top Fuel history has accomplished what Tony "The Sarge" Schumacher has behind the wheel of his U.S. Army Top Fuel dragster. Schumacher owns seven world titles, 67 career wins, 110 final round appearances and 67 career poles. Funny Car Racers John Force and his family are built for racing. Not only are they all listed in the top 25 Funny Car racers of the NHRA, but John Force holds the Number 1 Spot. Dangers of Racing Drag Racing is naturally one of the most dangerous sports on the planet. Everytime you line up on that track, you are lining up to commit the kiss of death. Along with the mechanical aspect of racing, there is a large amount of financial and business like work put in to it. Sponsors are one of the largest and most needed things that are required by all racers. Without a good sponsor, the racer will not get far in his or her career. It requires advertising, team work, support, and much devoted time. Sponsors Motors & Engines In the End...
A racing team is built up of men and women who have the same drive and passion for racing. Without that, a driver is just a man and a fast car.
