Corps members MAY NOT work for another
Research Foundation project or hold another position with RF
If selected Corps members must:
attend college FULL-TIME in fall 2017 and spring 2018
attend Matching Fair and complete matching questionnaire
attend onboarding session over the summer and follow up on any clearance related processes
complete 14 hours of pre-service training in August the week before school starts
complete Learning Action Plan in October 2017
participate in Service Training & Development Series by attending one monthly workshop
meet with Campus Manager at least once per semester for an individual meeting
remain in good academic standing at your college

be working toward a degree at one of the participating CUNY colleges
have addressed all remedial education needs prior to beginning fall 2017 classes
have earned at least 24 college credits by the end of summer 2017 (18 credits for community college students)*
have a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 2.5
be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits) in the current semester and plan to enroll full-time in fall 2017 and spring 2018

Opportunities for Growth
After selection: As a finalist you will participate in
Service Corps is not just an internship.
have the proper work authorization required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
*NOTE: community college students with under 24 credits must have a GPA of at least 3.0. Community college students with 24 credits or above can have a 2.5 GPA.
Plan ahead and give yourself time.
Ask a professor who knows you well to serve as your recommender and give them plenty of notice before the deadline.
Use resources on campus such as the writing center.
Have someone proofread your essays.
Thoroughly review the application and ask questions when you’re are not sure!
Once you complete onboarding with the Research Foundation and 14 hours of pre-service training in August you will be an official member of the 5th Cohort of CUNY Service Corps!!!
Priority Deadline: February 15th!
Students who submit their application by 2/15/17 will receive an extra point on their application score
