mk1766 Literary Scavenger Hunt Name two novels by Ernest Hemingway. When were they were published? One of them is The Old Man at the Sea and was published in 1952. The second is For Whom the Bell Tolls and was published in 1940. What do the protagonists in The Scarlet Letter and Fahrenheit 451 have in common? They both live in strict societies with very little freedom. There situations are very similar and there reasons are different and both protagonists are rebels and don't follow the rules and try to follow society. What is the nature of the conflict in To Kill a Mockingbird? Who wrote 1984? What is the protagonist's greatest fear? The author is George Orwell. Also his fear was of rats. Where does a symbol of God appear in The Great Gatsby? The Valley of Ashes is similar to something dark and lifeless. Also of fire ashes stand for destruction and death. Also the death of Myrtle Wilson in the Valley of Ashes stands for the pain with this valley. Also the Wilsons live in the valley that shows that they are not part of such high social standards as the other characters in the novel. Animal Farm and was bannedin 1943 through 1945
