Nepal Location Relative Location Nepal is southwest of Tibet,
northeast of India, and west
of Bhutan. Absolute Location Place Human Characteristics Physical Characteristics The absolute location of Kathmandu, Nepal
is 27 degrees N and 85 degrees W. The majority of people in Nepal practice Hinduism and Buddhism.The population of Nepal consists of many different races and languages. Most of Nepal is high mountains, such as the Himalayas, and rolling hills. Human Environment Interaction Humans Adapt to their environment Nepal uses it's abundance of rivers for hydroelectric power. Humans Depend on the Environment The people in Nepal depend on the land to grow things, such as rice. Humans Modify their Environment The people in Nepal have cut down many trees which has led to massive deforestation. Movement People People of Nepal are moving to places such as Darjeeling, a big tea state, for job opportunities. Goods One of Nepal's major exports is rice. Ideas Nepal has two main religions, Hinduism and Buddhism. Hinduism was spread through Nepal by Aryans'. Buddhism was brought to the region by the area's founder Prince Siddhartha Gautam. Regions Formal A formal region of Nepal would be the boundaries of Nepal. Functional Nepal is divided into different regions such as the mountain region and the hills region. Perceptual I thought Nepal was just an area of mountains but there is also a large percent that is plains.
