Rite of Passage : “ Ceremony or event marking an important stage in someone’s life, especially birth, the transition from childhood to adulthood, marriage, and death: A novel which depicts the state of adolescence and the rites of passage that lead to adulthood”
(Oxford Dictionary) The concept of Rites of Passages was a theory of socialization stated by Arnold van Gennep in his book “The Rites of Passage”

The book outlines rituals that mark the phase of transitioning between childhood and full inclusion into a tribe or social group. According to Arnold van Gennep there are three stages in a Rite of Passage.
Separation: The withdrawal of current status to start the transition.
Transition: Period between the two states, left other status not yet to join to enter the new one.
Reincorporation: New identity, re-enters society with new social status The 3 Phases Ceremony of 15 Candles The birthday girl gives 15 lit candles to the most meaningful people in her 15 years
