The Sun
It takes 8 minutes for the sunlight to be seen on the earth after it left the sun.
The center of the sun is the core which produces all the sun's energy.
The sun measures 2,715,395 miles right around
Mercury
Mercury is the smallest planet in the Solar System
The surface temperature of Mercury ranges from -173 to 427°C.
Mercury is the second densest planet after Earth.
Venus
The diameter of Venus is 12,100 km (7,522 miles).
Venus is the hottest planet in the Solar System
Venus is the sixth largest planet in the Solar System
Earth
It's the only planet that has liquid water on it's surface
It's the only planet in the Solar System that has life
The Earth is 93 million miles, or 150million kilometers from the Sun
Mars
Mars is not much farther from the Sun than Earth a typical year on Mars is 1 year and 320 days
Mars has both has North and South polar ice caps.
Mars has seasons like Earth
Jupiter
Jupiter has a diameter of 88,700 miles, or 142,750 kilometres
Jupiter is the first of the "gas giants"
The gas giants are entirely of dense layers of gas
Saturn
Saturn is the sixth planet in the Solar System
Saturn takes 29½ years to make one complete orbit of the sun

Pluto was the Roman God of the Underworld
