-Chinese Proverb Sight Smell Taste Sensation and Perception Perception is the mental process of identifying and interpreting sensations-neural signals acquired from the senses Signal Detection Theory- Absolute threshold varies according to psychological factors and from person to person. Sensory Adaptation- Senses adapt to environment. Senses vary in sensitivity depending on amount of stimulation.
