We saw that some cars went faster than others, but some of them didn't even go or didn't go too far.
Conclusion
We found out that our mousetrap car didn't work because of how we designed it. We would remake it by cutting the wood so it didn't touch the axle if we could. Chicken Fried Rice got the fastest, 1.41 m/s because of probably mostly their design.
Materials
What we could Use:
Mouse Trap-Effective
Fishing Wire-Not Effective
Balsa Wood-Effective
Kinect Pieces/Wheels-Effective
Hot Glue-Effective
Tape-Not Effective
Rubber Bands-Effective
Background Research
We chose the mousetrap car to be a tricycle model because it would be practical and cool, but would still work. We learned that speed is the distance something goes which is represented by distance divided by time (d/t). Velocity is just speed with a direction.
What problem are we trying to solve?
We are trying to power a car with a mousetrap by using the force exerted from the mousetrap's arm snapping down to rotate the axle, moving the wheels.

Criteria and Constraints
Our goal was to go the farthest with our mousetrap car. Some of our constraints were that we could only use specific materials.
