Transcript of Palm Beach Institute of Sports Medicine

Project Summary
Tracking Medicare Patients
Medicare requirements:

Every patient needs a prescription from a doctor to be treated.
A progress note must be written every 10th visit.
All progress notes must be sent to the medical doctor, signed, and returned to the office.
Other Duties
Outcome
My time at the Palm Beach Institute of Sports Medicine was an eye opening, rewarding and a great learning experience. It helped develop a strong interest in private-practice administration, an option that I did not consider before.

The biggest lesson I learned is that private-practice administration takes just as much dedication as hospital administration because of time and effort put into marketing and building relationships with the surrounding community.

The Palm Beach Institute of Sports Medicine has committed itself to the Boca Raton area. Their success and reputation is known by many, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have learned from them.
