Drip Irrigation in Dubai.
Drip irrigation, also known as trickle irrigation or micro irrigation or localized irrigation, is an irrigation method that saves water and fertilizer by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants, either onto the soil surface or directly onto the root zone, through a network of valves, pipes, tubing, and emitters. It is done through narrow tubes that deliver water directly to the base of the plant

When we use water in our home, or when an industry uses water, about 90 percent of the water used is eventually returned to the environment where it replenishes water sources (water goes back into a stream or down into the ground) and can be used for other purposes. But of the water used for irrigation, only about one-half is reusable. The rest is lost by evaporation into the air, transportation from plants, or is lost in transit, by a leaking pipe.

5.Moisture within the root zone can be maintained at field capacity.
6.Soil type plays less important role in frequency of irrigation.
7.Soil erosion is minimized.
8.Weed growth is minimized.
9.Water distribution is highly uniform, controlled by output of each nozzle.
10.Labour cost is less than other irrigation methods.
