iMovie Tutorial The question is, what is iMovie? Add subtitles, captions etc. Music After adding all your pictures and videos, let's add some effects. Click this box again, and your screen should look like this. Drag an effect that you pick onto the same screen. To see the effect, roll your mouse over the beginning and press spacebar. QUESTIONS? Want to learn how to make a movie? iMovie is a video editing application that lets Mac or iPhone users edit their home videos. First. Open up iMovie, minimize it. Then, open up Photobooth and record a video or take some pictures. Take about 5 pictures or just record some short videos. Open iMovie again, it should look something like this. You see this? Press the camera and you should see pictures or the video. Drag a format to the top right box. Then pick a design for it. To the right of that box, double click the default text to edit it. So now your screen should look something like this. Press the Photo Booth icon and then drag your pictures, your videos, or both onto the box.
