Biography of Dr. Seuss! Dr. Seuss published 44 children's books including
Cat In The Hat ,
Green Eggs and Ham,
and so many more. Dr. Seuss' real name is Theodore Seuss Geisel.
He was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
His mother Henritta and father Theodore were the best mother and
father to Theodore Jr.
When World War 1 hit it destroyed the financial and social sucess for
the German immigrants, it really turned things around for the
Geisel family. On November 29, 1927 he gets married to Helen Palmer.
After they got married he went to collee at Dartmouth
College. That's when he really started writing his poems and
started his life. His best known book is Cat In The Hat.
It was published in 1957. Most of his stories/poems
are written from his life. 1943-1946 Suess serves in the army.
In 1957 Dr. Suess publishes How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
In 1958 Seuss becomes the president of "Beginner Books."
October 23, 1967 Helen Palmer dies.
