Gerald Dempsey (Buster) Posey has a pretty small family.He married his high-school
girlfriend, Kristen in January,2009. He has two kids, that are twins(a boy and a girl).
They were born August 14, 2011 and were
named Lee Dempsey Posey
and Addison Lynn Posey. Early Life:
Buster Posey was born on March 27, 1987 to Gerald Dempsey Posey and Tracie Posey in Leesburg, Georgia. As a junior at Lee County High School, Posey pitched and played shortstop. In that same year he hit 9 doubles, 3 triples, and 7 home runs, setting the school record for batting average(.544) and runs batted in (RBI) (46). In his senior year he batted a .462 with 40 RBI and set a school record with 14 home runs. After his senior season, Posey was named Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year, the Louisville Slugger State Player of the Year, an EA Sports All-American, and a Baseball America All-American. Posey graduated 4th in his class of 302 students with a GPA of 3.94. The Basics:

On May 25 ,2011 during a game against the Florida Marlins, Posey was injured during a collision at home plate with Scott Cousins. Posey suffered a fractured fibula and torn ligaments in his ankle, requiring season-ending surgery. Although Scott Cousins claimed he did not mean to hurt Posey, the Giants fans still threatened him and his family.
