Fun Facts
The television show's main villains were Shredder and Krang
The underlings of the villains were Bebop and Rocksteady
Shredder was once a human by the name of Oroku Saki.
The turtles' sensei is named Splinter.
Splinter used to be owned by a man by the name of Hamato Yoshi.
Oroku killed Yoshi and scarred Splinter's ear.
Another name for Shredder is Ch'rell.
Chet Manley, whom owned the turtles before they mutated, accidentally dumped them in the sewer while saving a blind man from getting hit by a truck.
That truck contained the mutagen that created the teenage mutant ninja turtles.
Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was the voice of Shredder in one of the television series.
Thus far, there are four TMNT movies.
There have been three different television series. The first was in 1987, then in 2003, and most recently in 2012.

The story has changed over the course of many years. With every remake, there is a change in the history of the turtles. The stories all have one common factor. In every story, there is a mutagen. The canister containing the mutagen is labeled TCRI which stands for Techno-Cosmic Research Institute. The canister ends up falling off of a delivery truck and rolling into the sewer where it mutates four turtles.

I am proud of you, my sons. Tonight you have learned the final and greatest truth of the Ninja: that ultimate mastering comes not from the body, but from the mind. Together, there is nothing your four minds cannot accomplish. Help each other, draw upon one another, and always remember the power that binds you. The same is what brought me here tonight, that which I gladly return with my final words: I love you all, my sons.
-Splinter
Characteristics of the turtles
Raphael is afraid of bugs.
Leonardo is afraid of heights.
April is the first human the Turtles became friends with.
Out of the four, Michelangelo loves pizza the most.
The Turtles live in New York City.
Their "battle cry" is "Turtles fight with honor."
Donatello is the brains of the four.
Leonardo is the outspoken leader.
Raphael is hot headed and makes rash decisions.
Michelangelo is the fun lover and is good spirited.
Leonardo used katanas to fight, Raphael used a sais, Donatello used a bo-staff, and Michelangelo used nunchucks.
A new TMNT movie is coming out this year featuring Megan Fox (April), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), and Johnny Knoxville (Leonardo's voice).
Reasons Why TMNT Are Better Than the Power Rangers
TMNT is a more popular franchise than the Power Rangers.
There is an episode of the Power Rangers in which the Turtles guest star. The Turtles were under a spell and fought the Power Rangers and pretty much kicked their butts.
Even though the Power Rangers have giant robots, the TMNT are known to easily take down robots like that.
The TMNT are better fighters.
