Servants in Ancient Egypt
Servants waited on the rich and free time to enjoy themselves. But there were far more poor families than rich in Ancient Egypt.People didn't think this was unjust. They accepted that some people were born to do work, and others can tell them what to do.The servants worked as cooks, butlers and pharaohs dressers.
Duties of a Farmer
Farmers lived in houses made of mud bricks.Windows were built high up to give privacy and to help heat escape.Floors were made out of packed dirt.Farmers cooked food in small ovens fueled by burning dried cattle dung. Men and boys worked in the fields irrigating crops with a shaduf, which brought water from a river into a canal. The women baked breads, brewed beer, spinning thread and weaved it into various items.
