Similarities & Differences between Day of the Dead, and Halloween

A similarity is that you can dress up for both. Halloween is a time that you can be anything you want, so people dress up in costumes to continue the tradition that was started in Ireland. On The Day of the Dead, people wear shells on their clothes, so when they dance, it will wake the dead.
Similarities
A difference between Day Of The Dead and Halloween is that they have different symbols. the symbol fos Halloween is a ghost or a pumpkin. The DAy of the Dead symbol is a skull.
Difference
A similarity is that they both are related to the dead.On The Day of the dead Mexicans give dead children presents and adults drinks.On Halloween we let the spirits free.

A difference between these celebrations is the atmosphere. The Day of the Dead is more of a picnic, rather than a night of mischief that we refer to; Halloween.

A similarity is that you can both get candy. On Halloween trick-or-treaters collect candy by approaching houses an saying "trick-or-treat". On The Day Of The Dead the have candy skulls.
Difference
A difference is that they come from different countries. Halloween is originated in Ireland, the Day of the Dead was started in Mexico.
