Location and Geography
Arizona's located 34 degrees N, 112 degrees W.
The capital is Phoenix. Five other major cities are Tucson, Flagstaff, Prescott, Mesa, and Glendale.
Arizona was founded in 1853. Marcos de Niza first explored Arizona. Indian chiefs Geronimo and Cochise led their people against the frontiersmen. At a meet and greet, Arizona democratic congress woman Gabrielle Giffords was shot on Jan 8, 2011.
